MATCH DURATION
18-minute matches (no HT) for all U11 and U13 games including playoffs and finals.
20-minute matches (no HT) for all U15 and U19 games including playoffs and finals.
SUSPENSIONS
A yellow card followed by a red card in the same game will result in missing the next game. A straight red card will result in missing the next 2 games. We will not be adding up the yellow cards from previous games.
RULES
1. Mercy rule will come into effect when a difference of 6 goals has been accumulated. After this we will not record the goals scored or conceded.
2. Roll on subs, must notify referee of all substitutes
3. NO offside rule
4. Players cannot score directly from kick-off , must touch another player before shooting.
5. Time Penalty: Penalties for those who are late to the field. - 2 goals disadvantage: for those who are not ready to start when the referee blows his whistle. Over 5 minutes late: points will be awarded to the other team.
6. Playoff Games- if games are level after normal time, penalties will decide the outcome. 3 penalties followed by sudden death (these can be taken by ANY member of the playing squad) .
TEAMS and PLAYERS
Any team who fails to meet the conditions below may be disqualified from tournament. At the discretion of the tournament organisers a disqualified team may be allowed to play games, but all results will be recorded as 3 – 0 defeats.
A team consists of a squad of no more than 12 players and a coach.
Each player can only play for only one team
A coach may be the coach for more than one team, but if so there must be an assistant coach to take over responsibility for one team, if both teams are playing at the same time.
Ages are calculated as of 1 August 2023
All players in the squad must meet the age requirements.
All players must be full-time students at the school they represent.
The Tournament Committee reserves the right to make a final decision on any aspect of the rules.
